FIT ARTS Capoeira Class
FIT ARTS Capoeira Class offers step-by-step instruction in the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira for all
levels. The class is taught by Alfred Kendrick, an expert in Capoeira. This class is a blend of traditional
and contemporary training to learn the styles of Regional, Angola, and Benguela . Capoeira is a martial
art dating over 400 years that offers both a challenging workout and an interesting cultural experience
through history, language, and music! Music is an integral part of Capoeira training and students will
learn to play instruments and sing Capoeira songs in Brazilian Portuguese.
This class is for people who are interested in fitness, self-defense, flexibility, body control, and who
want or have a mind/body approach to fitness.
Beginners receive an Introduction to Capoeira movements: Capoeira kicks, ginga, and acrobatics.
More Advanced students will increase their skills through training more challenging moves and
sequences. Classes conclude with a training roda where students get to demonstrate their new skills with
each other.

Awaken your inner child with this fun and exciting acrobatics class for adults. Learn a handstand or
perfect a back handspring. All levels are welcome! In this class you will learn basic and advanced
tumbling skills, as well as elements of Break-dance and Capoeira. Flexibility training and conditioning
are also important elements of the course.

A fun and fluid flow, choreographed to a variety of music. You will stretch and strengthen your mind &
