•Decrease student costs.
•Can help aide student learning by having various methods of delivery of content.
•Allows faculty to develop learning activities that are “outside of the box.”
•Showcase to a large population of instructors and facilitates peer-to-peer feedback.
•Promotes college, program, and course.
3. CHALLENGES TO USING OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
•Faculty adoption of resources.
•Lack of resources available for some topics (i.e. Simulation).
•Initial increase in faculty workload when searching for resources may decrease likelihood of faculty to use those resources.
•Upkeep of resources to ensure quality.
•Credibility of resources
