1. CHILDREN’S FRIENDSHIP
TRAINING®
SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP FOR CHILDREN
(AGES 7-10)
What is Children’s Friendship Training®?
This is a 12-week evidence-based social skills program for elementary school-
aged children (ages 7-10) who have difficulty making and keeping friends.
Children in this group learn appropriate conversational skills, how to make a good
first impression and be a good sport; how to use play skills and appropriately
enter group play; and effectively manage peer rejection, teasing and bullying.
Parent participation is required as parents concurrently learn the skills the
children are being taught so that they can better support the children in applying
these skills at home and in other settings (e.g., school, extracurricular activities
etc.).
When & Where?
Groups will be starting in March 2017 and will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00-
6:00pm in Greenwich, Connecticut.
