Developing your personal leadership style and resourcefulness
It has been established that there is no one-size-fits-all mould for a successful leadership style. The key for Women in the Banking and Financial services
industry is to develop an effective leadership and communication style which is congruent with their own values and personality. Regardless of women’s
current position, organisation and goals, it’s vital they expand their current leadership repertoire and discover the characteristics of successful leadership that
will stretch them, inspire others and allow them to reach their career aspirations.
This interactive workshop is designed to allow each participant to explore how they lead at their very best. What personality traits do you bring to your
leadership style? How can you harness this further so that you lead with passion, authenticity and purpose? And how to improve your self-awareness
around staying resourceful and resilient in challenging times and with tricky people.
This workshop will also introduce communication skills around giving feedback and helping women leaders to have difficult conversations in a productive
way including performance conversations with team members, crucial conversations with colleagues, stakeholders and line managers. The experiential-style
sessions will provide opportunities for self-reflection as well as practicing tools in pairs and small groups.
Explore your unique leadership style
• Discover how your personality flavours your true leadership style
• How to leverage this further so you inspire and influence
• Identify why certain challenges, people and events trigger your personality – and how that impacts your leadership
Managing mindset
• Looking at new ways to manage your state: deepen self-awareness and emotional intelligence
• Leading from your best self and not cascading down to your less resourceful behaviors

• Reflect on your own listening skills level
• Identifying listening skills and exploring other points of view

In pursuit of effective innovation strategy and
leadership
When looking to pioneer a productive and proactive
workplace culture, innovation strategy leadership is one of
the fundamental building blocks. An innovative leader does
not need to be the person who creates the idea behind a
concept, but rather the one who executes the path that leads
to that idea becoming a reality. The ability to carve out this
strategy and ensure that the proper tools and skillsets are
provided to enable successful adoption of specific policies
and procedures will result in a dynamic and all around
proficient workplace. David will discuss:
• How leaders can plan for innovation leadership
• The current pitfalls of innovation strategy development and

Overcoming unconscious bias - Leading with
diversity
The concept that diversity in the workforce is good for
business is nothing new, however actually achieving this
notion is sometimes not as simple. Although organisations
strive to integrate a diverse and equal workplace culture,
additional actions must be implemented and recognised
in order to actually attain this balance. Instead of focusing
on awareness alone, it is important to shift efforts toward
exposing widespread bias within the workplace, and
developing constructive strategies to address them. In
this panel discussion, speakers will highlight personal
experiences with unconscious bias, and explore effective
ways to overcome this barrier. Discuss:
