1. Problem Statement
“Jenny” a committed, compassionate manager of the internship
and co-op programs for a major Fortune 1000 company needs
interns to be prepared to work in a professional business
environment because students currently are not.
My favorite idea
Create a Business
Protocol Super Hero
2. Prototype #1
Business Protocol Super Hero Hey there,
interns!
Here’s some
advice for you …
Dress
Don’t dress like you’re
going to the beach.
Dress for the job
you’re looking for!
Social Media
Don’t post anything that
could be considered
company confidential or
might compromise the
organization
Social Media
Be careful about how
often you’re checking
Facebook or other
social media sites
during the work day
Team Meetings
Share your knowledge.
Speak up
E-Mail
Be careful how you
word your e-mails. Make
sure they’re not too
informal but business
professional.
Technology
Smart
phones, tablets, and
ipads are great work
tools. Just make sure
you’re using them for
business during work
hours.
Mindset
Come to work everyday
willing to learn
something new
Follow these tips and you’ll have an awesome internship
experience!

4. Feedback Grid for Testing
(feedback from 3 test subjects)
What worked
What could be improved
IdeasQuestions
• Cute idea
• Good advice for interns
• Fun way to communicate a
somewhat serious topic
• Liked the cartoon super hero
better than the real person
• Have the super hero
interacting with a figure doing
the wrong thing by rescuing
the figure
5. Reflection
What I learned by testing my prototype
What I would do next
• It’s important to test your idea with a few key stakeholders before
jumping to implementation
• Feedback helps you see things about your idea that you can’t see on
your own
• Testing helps sharpen and refine your idea
• Iterate on the prototype by incorporating the suggestions given
• Run the new prototype past a larger test group
• Iterate again then implement
• I think you could spend a lot of time, money and effort continuously
iterating on your prototype. As some point you need to stop testing
and just put it out into the marketplace
