8. What new technology do scientists have: The new technology that scientist have is that they have satellites that can tell us when and where an earthquake will happen before they occur.

9. Overall: I have learned that earthquakes can happen anywhere and at anytime. Predicting them is a lot more challenging then I thought. Some factors that influence earthquake prediction would be the technology they use, the weather, and where you are in the world. Most of the large earthquakes occur on the west side of South America and in the southern part of Europe.
