Seeking opportunity in music education to challenge students and myself using my skills and experience.
Pursuing to further the knowledge of music as far as possible showing the need for music education in a
school curriculum.

Grove Bree Holman Award: Presented by the Saint Mary’s University Theatre Department for excellence in
musical theatre by a non-theatre major (orchestra pit).
Sigma Alpha Iota- International Music Fraternity (January 2011-May 2014)
Fireside Co-Chair 2013, 2014: Event planning coordinator for the annual music variety in February at Saint
Mary’s University, hosted by Sigma Alpha Iota.
Sigma Alpha Iota Jazz Studies Scholarship (Received June 2013): Audition based scholarship among other
SAI members across the country who have applied.
MMEA Collegiate Honor Band (February 2013): Honor Band for Minnesota Music Educators Association
Conference. Performers chosen fromtop instrumentalists from colleges and universities across Minnesota
Illinois All-State Theatre Production: Urinetown, Technical Crew (June 2009-January 2010): Audition
based of high school students involved in theatre across Illinois. Built up production from June until January.
Performances in January at the Illinois High School Theatre Festival.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minnesota Reading Corp: Literacy Tutor August 2015-Present
K-3 literacy tutor at Madison Elementary School in Winona, MN. Responsible for tutoring students in a one-on-one
atmosphere to improve overall reading skills.
Student Teaching Experience: Lewiston-Altura School District January-May 2015
Cooperating Teachers: Andrew Marsolek and Matthew Wilmes. Responsible for teaching 5-6th grade general music
and 7-8th and 9-12th grade bands.
Practicum Experience: Winona Area Public Schools, Middle School September-November 2014
Cooperating teacher: Melody Snyder. Through Saint Mary’s University MAI program, observed and helped with
band lessons every Tuesday and Thursday from September through November.

activities, and prizes to children of all ages.
Red Cross Blood Drive (October 2011-2013 and April 2011-2013): Winona MN. Checking in donors at front desk,
providing donors with water and snacks, making sure donors left feeling well.
Make a Difference Day (26, October 2013): Winona MN. Groups sent out to help community members with yard
work and other various chores.
