What is ‘EAP’?

EAP = ‘English for Academic Purposes.’
EAP is the 1st year 2nd semester english
module in SLIIT university.
It helps SLIIT university students to improve
their english language knowledge.
And it helps for academic purposes also.

Introduction
This module consists communication and presentation
skill development assignments, listening tests and
grammar tests.we analyzed how students feel about this
module difficulty

Methodology
Data required for research was
collected by a sample of 90
undergraduates (10 undergraduates
from one group and total of 9 groups) of
Sri Lanka Institute of Information
Technology that are studying on 2nd
semester of 1st year.

sharing a google
form we created.

Then we analyzed the responses by the
information we got.

• Clearly shows that 100% of students in faculty of computing have given
more concentration in EAP module.
• In 1st semester around 87.9% and 2nd semester shows 27.3%.
• Most of the boys in group 1 and 2 concentration in EAP module around
51.5%.
• Majority of the students have been doing EAP module around 57.6%.
• The lecturers are visiting on time to lectures around 97%.
