2010 until Present:
C.R. Davis is a family owned 3rd
generation firm that specializes in long term investments
such as mutual funds and annuities. Being a minority shareholder in this firm and a Series
7 representative increased my awareness of the challenges of operating a family owned
private business.
Director of Marketing, Solomon Colors, Springfield, Illinois
2000 through 2010:
Solomon Colors is an international, multimillion-dollar company that sells colored
pigment to the concrete industry. I directed sales, marketing, advertising, and customer
service for Solomon Colors until 2006. During that time, the company doubled in sales.
From 2006 to 2010 my responsibilities increased to become the full time marketing,
advertising, and customer service manager. In addition to my role as Director of
Marketing, I also coordinated all national and regional trade shows and the national sales
meetings. This was a national position, including oversight of the marketing of a major
business acquisition in 2008.
Marketing Manager, U.S. Electric, Springfield, Illinois
1996 through 1999:
I worked with the branch managers and sales staff to develop branding and increase
awareness of a small electric supply company. I also developed promotional programs
and increased sales to a broader market.
Sales, Bodine Electric, Springfield, Illinois
1987 through 1996:
I worked as a sales engineer selling electrical automation products to the OEM and
manufacturing industries. I developed and grew a territory in Central Illinois that became
one of the leading territories for Bodine.

Other Work Experience:
I started my position in customer service and worked my way into outside sales. I was a
specialist in retrofitting energy efficient lighting for commercial and industrial facilities.
In addition I managed the start up of an automations product division including all
marketing and sales.
