5. Sight
oSight is also known as vision
oYou use your eyes to focus and detect objects
oThe eye can be compared to a camera. They both gather light
and transform it into a picture that we can interpret. They both
focus the incoming light with the help of a lens. The eye uses the
retina to produce an image while the camera uses film.
oThe eye allows us to see and interpret the shapes, colors, and
dimensions of objects in the world by processing the light they
reflect or emit. The eye is able to see in bright light or in dim
light, but it cannot see objects when light is absent.

8. Touch
•Your sense of touch is found all over. You can touch and feel with
any part of your body.
•Touch originates in the bottom layer of your skin called the
dermis, which is filled with tiny nerve endings that send information
to the brain about the things you are touching.
•The nerve endings in your skin can tell you if something is hot or
cold. They can also feel if something is hurting you.
•Pain receptors are probably the most important for your safety
because they can protect you by warning your brain that your body is
hurt!
