We emphasize the importance of understanding the needs of each user by customizing suggested solutions for their needs, based on individual assessments of not only their goals, but their current measured performance. Unlike other generic planners, this solution takes a balance between flexibility and instilling discipline among users. The planner tries to understand the needs of the users, but at the same time, it takes a non-intrusive approach, by placing the responsibility on the users to attain their own goals. Value-addedness. We engage users at the emotional level, by finding a suggesting exercises that can help them cope with menstruation periods. (menses tracker)
Pose these as 2 questions to the class. Do you think our planner would be utilized by the intended audience, because some girls think that it is better to diet so as to lose weight, rather than exercise to stay fit to maintain their fitness. Answer: This planner aims to help users kickstart their exercise regime. It is aimed to educate and motivate the users to view exercise as the most healthy method of staying fit. I'd like to think that we should saw our planner can cater to them even after NAPFA, which is why i faded "My Exercise Planner" in the prototype - to accommodate the calories counter. IDEAS ANYONE?
