The Bioten Process is a patented technology that converts wood mill wastes into renewable electricity and heat. It uses a Brayton cycle gas turbine to efficiently combust biomass fuels. Emissions are low and it requires no process water or liquid discharges. The modular design allows for mobile or permanent installation. Heat recovery provides hot oil, steam, or hot water that can meet the needs of an OSB plant while fully destroying VOC emissions from waste fuels. The process generates renewable energy and heat at an OSB mill with environmental and financial benefits.
