Piedmont Medical Center—Computed Tomography Technologist, April 2015-present
I was hired directly out of x-ray school after demonstrating competency in CT and venipuncture and was trained to operate a
16 and 64-slice GE Lightspeed VCT scanner to perform a myriad of inpatient and outpatient examinations. Gained valuable
experience and regularly perform CT extremity and full body scans, use my phlebotomy skills to insert and repair IVs, as well
as perform trauma studies, CT angiography, and CT-assisted Drains and Biopsies under doctor's supervision.
Piedmont Medical Center—Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant, Jan 2013-present
My duties included hands-on patient care and communication, as well as venipuncture for inpatients in critical care,
observation, the emergency department, and the outpatient lab. I have performed over 5000 needle sticks and have gained
the ability to collect laboratory specimens from patients with a variety of illnesses and varying degrees of health to ensure
accurate blood tests and treatment. I also gained experience ordering and entering lab specimens in the core lab with Cerner
and Meditech computer systems.

A two-month instructional program in which I obtained over 200 needle sticks and 25 heel sticks, as well as expertise in

care specimen collection, heel sticks, and basic lab tests. I was able to gain clinical experience in hospitals, emergency
departments, outpatient office settings, and the health department of Charlotte, NC.
