I have worked in child care profession from the age of 16 to present. These professions have been in a variety of
different settings and organizations which range from different age groups from neonate care to children and young
people and a lot of time spent working with children with learning difficulties. Whilst caring for children and young
people I have always maintained safeguarding as paramount. When working with children and young people it is
essential that you work towards enhancing their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development to reach their
full potential. This should be in line with the Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Home Regulation 2001 and Five
Positive Outcomes (Every Child Matters). I have reached the position of Deputy Manager in a home supporting over
100 children,
