As far as Alabama sports superstars go, very
few shine as bright as our very own Hammerin’
Hank Aaron. His stats speak for themselves. In
21 stellar seasons in Major League Baseball,
Aaron compiled a list of achievements that only
a handful of baseball players can equal, much
less surpass.

1. He has 15 30+ home run seasons.
2. He is constantly ranked in the top 10
greatest baseball players lists of sports
writers and new publications.
3. He was an AL All-Star for a single, but an
NL All-Star for 20 seasons, which is an all-
time record.
4. He holds the record for the most All-Star
selections at 25.
5. He is tied with fellow Alabama superstar
Willie Mays, and Stan Musial for most All-
Star Games played at 24.
6. He is a three-time Gold Glove winner.
7. He is one-time NL Most Valuable Player
winner and a one-time World Series
winner.
8. He is a two-time recipient of the NL Player
of the Month award.
9. He holds the MLB record for most career
RBIs at 2,297, extra base hits at 1,477,
and total bases with a whopping 6,856.
10. He is in the top five all-time for career hits
at 3,771 and runs at 2,174.
