The document discusses two occupational health and safety management system standards: OHSAS 18001 and ANSI Z-10. OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized specification that provides requirements for an occupational health and safety management system. ANSI Z-10 is a US national standard currently under development. Both standards require organizations to identify hazards, assess risks, implement controls, monitor performance, and conduct management reviews to continually improve health and safety.
