A B O U T M EA B O U T M E
I am currently a student at Saito University College where I am pursuing
my Diploma in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in Cheras. I realized
my interest in magazine editing and packaging design when I was about
15 years-old. I hope that I can design something that people would want
to view and collect. I am passionate about work and I always seek
improvement. I am a multitasker and responsible to finish based on
deadlines given. I am also a team player where I believe that working with
a team can lead to better outcomes as compared to working alone; I
strive to motivate others to create a friendly and positive environment.
3. My passion is what drives me to become a graphic designer. I have interests in magazine editing and typography. I
read different types of magazines to learn and practice to improve my skill. I like simple, minimalistic layouts that are
nice; people will feel peaceful and relaxed where I hope that my designs will give people the same feeling.

Besides packaging design, I also have strong interest in magazine layout design. During my Typography classes,
I’m a stickler for details when it comes to fonts. The right typeface used in the right way can really enhance a design. Even
generic fonts can have their moment. In a layout design, I probably spend more time getting the typo to look right than
almost anything else. The typeface used communicates so much about an organisation. It really boggles me when I
stumble upon amazing cover/layout designs that successfully blend together with completely inappropriate fonts. I
find them attractive with the staying power for viewers to keep reading.

When I was 15 year-old, I developed an interest to collect well designed bottles and packaging, especially seasonal limited edit
on products. It was then that I wanted to study graphic design to design something that people would want to collect as well. While in college I
have learned more about packaging design, from being clueless until now where I know what materials to use, the suitability form
and function, and about maintaining the brand image. I have a strong interest in packaging design. A well designed packaging can easily
attract consumer's attention and affect their decision to purchase. I have improved both my technical and design skill while learning how to
use my creativity to design something functional and appealing.

14. Egg sculpture paintingEgg sculpture painting
I participate in the “388 Eggmonium” painting event organized by
AvenueK shopping mall. The objective of this event is to raise
awareness on the benefits and values of eggs. The idea for my
artwork is based on “decoupage”. It is the art of designing an object
by gluing coloured paper cut outs onto the object in combination
with special paint effects, gold leafs and other decorative elements.

Apart from preparing for my exams, I also participated in thiscompetition, a group work to design
a café shop front. We were chosen as the “Top 6” where we built up a mock-up to present
our idea. The organizer said that they bought our idea and that the possibility was high that our
design would be officially produced for use by them.

I recently took up this freelance job to design a wedding invitation card for my friend that is happening in December 2017. I
was afraid at first to be rejected but through the process Utill completion, she really liked the final design that I produced. I
have learned a lot by undertaking this job where I found the logo design to be the most challenging part. When the design
was ready for print, we started sourcing for a printer to have the best possible quality to produce the cards.

22. Internship ExperienceInternship Experience
Working in advertising company is really a new experience to me. I been able to know how they work and what are the thing
they do. Before I start my internship at advertising agency, what I think is they only doing above the line job. After I work, I learn
from my internship is how to work in a group and trust each other. You can’t survive in a company if everyone doesn’t care
about you and don’t believe what you do. I’m really lucky that my supervisor believes in what I do and she always gives me
recommendation to make the work more perfect. Besides than following my supervisor, I also involve in another group which
focus on digital ad and pitch. I feel that really lucky because I can work of both group and learn different experience from that.
Internship at Y&R is a good experience to me, it makes me stronger and got a lot of knowledge and chance to see thing that
I never got during my study in college. It is a very fun and unforgettable memory for me, people working there are nice and I feel
that we are always in a group and take careabout each other, not only for work even I have my personal problem they also give
me a lots of comment and advice especially my supervisor.
