GLOBAL SERVICE JAM…CONCEPT
WHAT
In a spirit of experimentation, innovation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams will have
less than 48 hours to develop and prototype completely new services inspired by a shared theme.
At the end of the weekend, their collection of brand new services will be published to the world
using an online tool.
WHERE & HOW
Join us 24 till 26 of February in Antwerp. You can bring your laptop, camera, an open mind and any
other tool you like having with you. Globally we will be connected to more then 40 countries. The
idea is to inspire and discover each other while working out a brand new service model.
WHO
Professor or entrepreneur, captain of industry or cleaning lady, high potential or philosophy
student,… webdesigner, photographer or artist : you are all welcome provided you are willing to
share your ideas, knowledge and experience. If you adore to work closely together, meet new
people and have a weekend to spare then you should not hesitate any longer : subscribe yourself !

[Global] The world is changing and becomes every day
more technologically advanced, complex and globally
connected. As a consequence service has shifted too.
[Service] New service models are being developed to
deal with the enhanced complexity of planet Earth.
[Jam] A jam is an event for registered participants to
share and brainstorm ideas.

A LOCAL HOST
Kite is a young consultancy company with a twist that has been
founded 5 years ago. Our main field of expertise is the
implementation and coaching of change processes for service
companies and/or government bodies.
Over the past years we have become avid admirers of the
service design concept and are investing heavily in our
consultants to build up the necessary design thinking skillset
in this field.
Kite that jams like this can help to convince the
Belgium based service industry and the government
that service design can offer a real plus in developing
or innovating services.

Cirque de la rue. In dit concept wordt straattheater georganiseerd in een stad op
zo’n manier dat elke inwoner die daarvoor open staat betrokken kan
worden. Hierbij willen de ontwikkelaars onder meer ook thuislozen en kansarmen
op een positieve manier betrekken.
Sur+ helpt jonge muzikanten die graag willen optreden maar niet de middelen,
ervaring, … hebben om dat te realiseren. Sur+ geeft via een virtueel platform
muziekgroepen de kans om hun ambities te realiseren zonder dat ze zelf risico moeten
nemen.

World 3.0 is een concept voor een betere wereld waar multinationals
gestimuleerd worden om ethischer te handelen (zowel op het vlak van
milieu en ecologie als human rights, …). World 3.0 brengt drie dingen
samen: objectieve informatie over de stand van zaken bij multinationals,
bewustwording voor de individuele consument en inbreng voor de
distributeurs.
CIDTS creëert een wisselwerking tussen kinderen, die
bijzonder creatief zijn, en managers, die steeds opzoek
gaan naar creatieve oplossingen voor hun problemen
Sharing Gardens is een dienstverlening voor het aanleggen en organiseren
Sharing van tijdelijke ontmoetingsplaatsen (tuintjes en parken) op braakliggende
gardens stukken grond in de stad en op daken van flatgebouwen.

Sunny Side Up brengt kleur in de
dagelijkse sleur. Mensen
samenbrengen, verrassen en op die
manier ervoor zorgen dat het
levensplezier kan toenemen
SuperConnect brengt een oplossing voor sociaal
isolement. Via SuperConnect leren buren in een
appartementsgebouw elkaar weer kennen en vullen ze
elkaars behoeften in.

SOME OF THE RESULTS
 City services 2.0 - Let’s find a toilet in Antwerpen
• Vaststelling : waar vind je een toilet ?
• Project Toilet Hero (Seoul) : het aanduiden van
beschikbare toiletten voor al dan niet mindervaliden,
betalend of niet, … op een makkelijke en snelle manier
• Toepassing : stapsplan ? App ? Toeristische dienst ?
• Uitbreidingsmogelijkheden : daily services in Antwerp
listed, on Google Maps, Apps, (mobile) web site.
 City Shelf
• Vaststelling : steden zouden er beter uitzien als er meer
burgers actief participeren
• Project City Shelf : open sourceplatform waar burgers
mede-eigenaar van projecten in de stad kunnen worden,
door het niet alleen diensten af te nemen, maar ook aan
te bieden en aldus het verdienen van credits; om de
kwaliteit van het leven in de stad te verbeteren.
• Toepassing: koppelen aan de A-kaart
