• Early innovation steps to improve market- and investor-readiness
• Based on results from an ongoing or recently finished FET project

• No additional S&T research
• Actions not foreseen in the relevant FET project
• No direct link needed with original consortium
• Assurance of necessary IPRs & agreements to be stated in the proposal

10. Fast Track To Innovation Pilot 2015-2016
Strong Industry involvement - Collaboration
Fast market take-up (≤ 3 years upon project start)
• Aims to:
– Reduce time from idea to market (‘last-push’)
– Increase industry participation, SMEs and first-time industrials
• Scope:
– Open to any thematic area(s) addressing Industrial Leadership and/or Societal Challenges
– Open to all types of participants: SMEs and first-time industry applicants particularly welcome
– Entry TRL ≥ 6 – activities can include piloting, test-beds, real-life systems validation, business
models validation, pre-normative research, standard-setting, ...
• Conditions for projects:
– Max. 5 legal entities and at least one of the following
• ≥ 60% of overall budget allocated industrials
• Min. no. of industrials: 2 out of 3/4 OR 3 out of 5
– Max. duration 36 months (expected 12-24)
– Max. EU contribution 3 M€ (expected 1-2 M€)
– Business plan is essential
