2. Who We Are
Founded in 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi is America’s
oldest and largest professional business fraternity.
Built on the five values of Alpha Kappa Psi:
Brotherhood, Unity, Service, Integrity, and
Knowledge.
Our Chapter
Each of our 100 brothers share the same values and
bring together business professionalism and community
outreach.
As an organization, we are always trying to innovate
and bring the best product to the UW community.
Our past events include: Annual Northwestern Mutual
Case Competition, UW Relay for Life, AKPsi Presents
You, 5K Clover Dash, University District Street Cleaning
project, and Spring Formal Fundraising Cruise.

4. What We Do
Our organization is committed to bringing academic excellence and business ideals to the rest of the UW community. We
are innovative with our events/projects and focus on professional development and philanthropy. Here are a few of our
events:
Our Professional Development Committee partners with a corporate sponsor to
create a competition where students compete in teams and have 48 hours to
analyze a case and present a solution that best fits the corporate sponsor,
participants, and the chapter. Students gain valuable experience and
opportunities to network with professionals while professionals get to meet
motivated and passionate students that will be entering the workforce soon.
The case competition also will provide the sponsor with fresh innovative ideas
about problems they may face or are facing.
AKPsi Presents You
This event is focused solely on the idea of networking its
importance. An exemplary group of members attend this
event and speak with professionals to learn more about what
it takes to be a successful and well-rounded professional.
Professionals have a chance to meet these students, connect
them with their network, and share stories and information
from their experience.
5k Clover Dash
This event is a charitable 5 kilometer race that raises money
for the American Cancer Society. The 5K raised over $1000 in
its last year and registered 125 participants. This year, AKPsi
Rho chapter is looking to register at least 150 participants
and raise at least $1500.
