- My name is Kristal N. Bigelow. Growing up in a home with hard working parents to six children, underachieving and laziness was never an option.
- As a youngster, science always was my passion. Yet, music and its production fascinated me as well. I decided to pursue the “scientific” or technical aspect of studio production and attend the Institute of Audio Research, an audio production school.
- Starting off as a young woman in a male-dominated industry, It was sometimes hard to prove myself. However, I was able to learn and apply skills effectively and I quickly ascended to employment in many live music venues across New York City.
- After an extensive internship, I was employed as a production assistant at the popular meatpacking district music venue, Highline Ballroom in New York City, where I spent a majority of my career.
- In addition to being a production assistant and stage hand in Highline Ballroom, I became employed at several New York City music venues, including the Apollo Theater.
- I also became a sound engineer, lighting technician, rigger, loader, stage technician, stagehand, and stage manager.
- As a jack-of-all-trades, I have backgrounds in the office and in the field. I am equally comfortable with the technicalities of live entertainment as well as the logistics of advancing and organizing the pre-production of the show.
- Each place that I have worked, I left a mark by being associated with organization, determination, communication, and an overall representative of striving for excellence.
- In addition to my official acquired titles, I also am a social media marketer, promoter, event organizer, and freelance production manager for independent projects. I am a poet, an amateur investor, a cook, and overall lover of life and all it has to offer.
- With poetry being the root to what spawned my artistic enthusiasm, my mantra is to “Poetically acquire prosperity utilizing the power within”.

I also speak intermediate conversational Spanish.

- Reliable- punctual and entrusted to complete tasks in a timely fashion. Managers would often have no problem entrusting me with petty cash and minor purchases for the establishment.
- Ability to remained focused and motivated: Useful for professional interaction with entertainment professionals as well as completing tasks. I am able to conduct myself around popular artists and celebrities; both engaging with them and making them comfortable.
- Networking: Attend industry seminars and conferences and network with peers: I frequently attend festivals and AES conventions when possible to network and stay abreast of latest industry trends.
- Higher Education: A bachelor of science in entertainment business as well as seven years of live production experience: Upon graduation from school, I also will have seven plus years of live production experience and industry connections.
- Overcoming feelings of inadequacy: In my early career, I was not being competitive enough or confident in my abilities; resulting in loss of advancement opportunities. However, attending Full Sail University and attaining more experience allowed me to gain more confidence in what I can surely do.
