How these factors affect the teaching-learning process on children and adolescents?
Family
 Almost every family in the world faces difficult times and conflicts. Signs of
family problems include frequent arguments, disagreements, poor or poor
communication, anger, and physical conflict.
 The main problems that cause these problems are differences of opinion,
personalities, beliefs, values, among others.
 It is in the family environment that the child grows up learning values,
behaviors, attitudes, skills and knowledge. The most common way that
children use to learn is through observation. That is why anything that the
child sees in the family environment, whether good or bad, can affect it in
one way or another.
What effects can family negative
aspects have?
 Family problems have a great impact on the life and development of the
child, some of these can be negative emotions, stress, feeling isolated,
difficulties to eat and sleep properly, difficulties concentrating at school, not
enjoying activities that previously seemed fun, problems with friends, among
other problems.
 In the teaching-learning context, it is said that it benefits the most when
parents and the rest of the family are involved in their learning and
development. Family participation is positively linked to the results of
children and adolescents.
 On the other hand, having said this, it is clear that if the parents and the
family are not involved in the child's learning, the child will not feel
supported when it comes to their decisions, they do not feel appreciated and
important.
 What differentiates some families from others is that some have a positive
and constructive family environment that fosters the proper and happy
development of the child, and other families, on the other hand, do not live
interpersonal relationships correctly, causing the child not to acquire his
parents the best role model or who has significant emotional deficiencies.
School and Work
 All children and adolescents have the right to access to study and are
protected by the laws that comply with this. However, today in the world it
has become very common for children and adolescents to dedicate
themselves to work instead of studying. This is something that should not
happen in any country. There are people who are not aware that children
should enjoy their childhood and innocence.
How does work affect the learning
process?
 It is dangerous for the child's physical, mental and moral well-being. An
estimated 73 million children are in hazardous child labor situations. Most are
boys and girls between the ages of 15 and 17, although 19 million children
who face hazardous work are under the age of 12.
 It hinders their schooling. Carrying out work activities prevents children from
attending school and means that they have to leave classes prematurely or
are forced to combine their studies with a job. According to UNHCR data, only
61% of refugee children are in primary school, compared to 91% of the world
average. Many of them do not go to school because they have to work for
their family to get ahead.
Consequences of child labor
 Physical: Children who work can develop chronic illnesses and diseases,
malnutrition, suffer cuts and burns from working with machinery and tools
that are inappropriate for their age, or suffer abuse by adults.
 Psychological: The little ones spend a lot of time in a hostile and violent
environment, far from the protection and protection of their relatives. Due to
the long hours they spend at work, they are forced to leave their studies or
combine both activities. This carries psychological consequences such as
stress, low levels of self-esteem and lack of hope in the future.
