You know the numbers: each day there are 4.75 billion pieces of content shared.
So, the simple fact is this: If you don’t educate and build trust with quality content, someone else will.
But how do you do it? It’s one thing to know what you want to say, but it’s another to put it all together in a way that helps you have an impact and break through the clutter.

What is Sitra?
Sitra is a future-oriented organisation, which has been performing its statutory role of promoting the well-being and competitiveness of Finland and the Finnish people since 1967. Its activities are funded by the returns on its endowment capital and capital investments.
Introduction and finances:
Since the establishment of Sitra in 1967, our mission has been future-oriented: during recent decades, we have focused on topical issues, anticipated change and boldly taken on new tasks. We have also accumulated knowledge enabling us to successfully exit projects upon identifying a suitable owner for the business in question.
The Act on Sitra defines our goal as promoting Finland's stable development, economic growth and international competitiveness.
Our funding is based on the returns on both our endowment capital (market value 739 million euros as of 31.12.2014) and our capital investments. We do not therefore receive tax-based funding from sources such as the state budget.
History and Sitra's role
Although Sitra’s mission has remained the same since its establishment, its methods have varied depending on what are deemed the best ways of helping Finland to prosper.
Until the 1980s, Sitra acted as a provider of R&D funding.
In its next phase, Sitra focused on the establishment of a capital market in Finland and the provision of training on societal issues and financial policy.
In the 2000s, Sitra has sought to make an impact on social change. As a societal game changer, Sitra has focused on tackling complex and systemic cross-sectoral challenges.
Administration
Sitra’s administration includes a Supervisory Board, a Board of Directors and a President.
The Supervisory Board includes members of the Parliamentary Supervisory Council of the Bank of Finland, appointed by Parliament. The Board monitors Sitra's management and makes decisions on operational principles.
The Board of Directors has six members. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and the Ministry of Education and Culture must be represented on the Board. Sitra's President is a member of the Board. The Board directs Sitra's activities.
The President of Sitra manages the administration of the fund and develops its operations, in line with the instructions and stipulations provided by the Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors.
Sitra has around 136 employees (31.12.2014).
