checker. This work included the upgrading of the tank
farm, jetty area and pump stations in Libya. The
upgrade work was carried out in conjunction with a
Greek sub-contracting company called J & P piping.
Layouts, isometrics, structures and P and Ids were
produced on Autocad for the successful completion of
this project.

lifting equipment to remove the building’s six motor
generators for bearing and overall maintenance. It
involved a full survey and special rapid assembly
parts design which had to be carried out in very
restricted areas.

The project here was to carry out innovative initial
design of the fire doors and barriers which were to be
used in the design of the Channel Tunnel project. It
included many liaisons with suppliers and customers
up to TML level, Also various mechanisms were
designed for the special train personnel fire doors
such as the mechanics and electrics for a mechanical
override shoot bolt system. All fire protection testing
was carried out in accordance with BS476. All design
and draughting work was completed on Autocad.

I worked here as a design engineer on the major 36”
pipe line running between Stoke and Burton On Trent.
This was a lift and relay design project in connection
with the high pressured north sea natural gas pipe
line.
