Score Rs4 U
1. 1
RS4U (REEMPLOYMENT SUCCESS 4 U) and Reemploymentsuccess4u.com and rs4u.com
Description: An internet business that focuses on the delivery of a crisis management process
to equip unemployed individuals with critical information and insights regarding job search and
specifically-designed organization tools for a more efficient and successful job search outcome.
Four Major Components of the Program:
• Proven curriculum created and delivered by a seasoned career counselor professional
• Commentary by a survivor who experienced the ups and downs of a recent 2010 layoff,
used the learning and guidance of this career coach, and developed the associated
reemployment tools for herself to land a professional job in about 4 months.
• Zippered portfolio/organizer containing a variety of time management tools and
reminders used to expedite the process and provide a professional look.
• Specially-designed webinar topics that focus on expediting your job search such as
scripting and preparation for networking event, and other related topics, i.e., tax issues.
Motivation/Why offer this program now?:
• To share the most recent fresh experience so that people seeking reemployment can
learn about and use this approach, refocused on ineffective job search methodology,
and find more efficient ways to work through this intervention.
• To generate new personal income
• To capitalize on NJ Dept. of Labor’s reorganization/privatization in early 2011, possibly
supplementing or substituting for the offerings icw the professional support group.
Principle Team Members:
• Pat Levins, the successful graduate or survivor, who recently landed a new position and
can use her creativity and marketing skills to develop webinar content and commentary;
also professional personal tax knowledge and expertise
• Bruce Lauber, professional career coach and former corporate controller and financial
analyst, who can develop content through his years as a career coach and sales expert
• Ken Levins, an internet technology and website expert
Competition: While they are many excellent career and life coaches and offerings on the
internet, the proposed combination of content and commentary is unique. Most of these
advisers have not experienced unemployment during the 2008-2010 crisis. Many served as
Pat’s ‘mentors‘and would be welcomed as guests speakers for selected special topic webinars.
2. 2
They include Absolutely Abby, Lisa Marie Diaz, Bob Larson, Andy XXX of landing expert.com and
Diane Young, Unemployed Optimists.
Curriculum: 8 – 12 week seminars that cover content and helpful proven hints about such
Delivery:
1) Weekly webinar (probably not 2-way interactive)
• 15 minute – answer to last week’s questions submitted through the internet
(except for week 1 reserved for introductions and explanation of the program)
• 30 minute seminar on a specific topic
• 15 minute commentary by ‘successful graduate’
2) Website for blog and order taking for webinars, portfolio organizer, CDs, etc.
3) Blog by Pat (and maybe Bruce) and guests (many who helped Pat through the
reemployment process, giving them an opportunity to promote their businesses)
4) Special monthly webinars on selected topics of interest
Webinars would be delivered on a rolling basis with a repetitive set starting every two weeks.
The second and subsequent rounds of webinars would use the previously recorded sessions
until refreshment is indicated. Recorded sessions would be availalbe on CD for purchase.
Portfolio Organizer Contents (Your virtual working office on the go):
• Section for storing paper copies of resume, letters of recommendation cover letter and
writing samples for sharing during interviews and networking
• Flash drive to store same electronically and a storage compartment
• Plastic insert to organize and easy refer to business cards and space to record contact
date, location and organization that sponsored the training, networking, etc.
• 3 hole binder insert that contains your 90-second commercial in large print for review
prior to networking, events and interviews
• Writing utensils e.g., pens, highlighters, writing pad for note taking and post it notes
• Calculator, memo pad and spreadsheet for recording tax deductible job search expenses
• Mini one-page summaries of relevant webinar content
• Storage compartment for lipstick, Chap Stick, mouth wash and cell phone.
3. 3
The outside will have a leather-like look; many contents might be private labeled. (Engraving
might be an option.) Our company name, RS4U, will probably not appear on the outside
(perhaps test market this concept).
Marketing:
Interested people would be invited to check out the website and the program offering through
an email software program like Constant Contact and be encouraged to refer family, friends
and colleagues seeking reemployment.
• Current ‘Smooze List’ of 400 attendees from the Professional Support Group in
Hackensack (NJ’s (x number) centers may reduce current level of services; New York
State offer minimum support).
• Established networking groups & faith based organizations, i.e., churches, temples, etc.
• Unemployment centers with a flyer to post (see permission/willingness to post?)
Other approaches will include:
• Ads in local New York and New Jersey weekly newspapers to test response
• Blog to drive interest and traffic to website
• Word of mouth
• Capitalize on gift buying where families and friends of the unemployed might consider
purchase (great amount of people are still collecting unemployment)
• Flyers placed on car windshields parked near unemployment centers (seek permission?)
The website would be a central single point of contact:
• Contain program’s mission and background
• House Pat’s blog and other helpful information (from webinar content)
• Referral to books that are very helpful like Absolutely Abby’s books
• Links to affiliate programs like Amazon or Barnes and Nobel
Assessment/effectiveness: Track program results: products, revenues and costs
• Program: Survey monkey device; ask for direct feedback (Absolutely Abby)
• Products: Satisfaction survey via email; shipping performance; usefulness
• Referrals: Number and rewards program for free webinars
• Cost: Planned vs. actual
• Sales: Products and affiliate relationships
• Cash flow: XXX days?? (need Bruce’s suggestions)
• Customer Service: Ease of access, CSR professionalism; refund turnaround, etc.

5. 5
Immediate Issues:
• Curriculum translation to webinar format
• Consider reduce from 12 to a lesser number say 6-8 seminars for easier management
• Required product/services to set up webinar capability and track performance
• Creation of blog including technical and content
• Finding a competent internet sales and delivery consultant who will work with our
webmaster, Ken
• Funding for a consultant
• How to record sessions for subsequent rebroadcasting as well as CDs production do we
need access to a recording studio
• Compensation for Bruce and/or Ken, i.e., need for salary or commission?
• Understand how affiliate marketing works, assess revenue/cost potential & start
outreach
• Confirmation of company name and creation of company logo
Immediate Action Items:
• Share outline with Bruce* for verification of assumptions and gain buy-in for partnership
• Share outline with Ken to gain his buy-in for partnership
• Search and speak with several internet sales consultants
• Collect cost of good data, etc.
• Quantify the required necessary start-up costs and add a 10% mark-up for unforeseen
circumstances
