Improve Your Google Adwords CTR in 8 Steps

  2. 2. STEP #1 v  Include your keywords in the headline or body or display URL of your ad text. When a user searches for this term, the keyword will be bold in the ad text and this is more eye catching. Consequently, you have more chances to gain the click.
  3. 3. STEP #2 v  Make sure you have structured your Ad Groups in a common theme. For example red flowers and yellow flowers should be in different Ad Groups.
  4. 4. STEP #3 v  Use the search terms report to find negative keywords that might have a negative effect on your campaigns. Once you discover them, add them to your account.
  5. 5. STEP #4 v  Try to include prices, promotions or discounts in your ad text if they are available. Be careful of the competition, since if your price is higher than others this will damage your CTR.
  6. 6. STEP #5 v  Use capitalization of first letters in your ad text. Usually this is more eye catching . Be careful not to exceed capitalization.
  7. 7. STEP #6 v  Make small variations of your ad text and keep the ad text that has higher CTR.
  8. 8. STEP #7 v  Use extensions with your ad text. This will help you take over more space among your competitors and you can provide more information about your company. Make sure to use extended sitelinks as well.
  9. 9. STEP #8 v  Use a strong call to action verb to your ad text. “Buy now!”, “Learn More!” are frequently used and are leading the user to the desired action.
