Walmart will help its employees go to college, subsidizing tuition for degrees in business or supply-chain management. At the cost of $1 per day, the retail giant’s 1.5M employees can attend three nonprofit schools or take courses online.
Steel and aluminum tariffs for Canada, Mexico and the EU could be announced by President Trump today, reports the Washington Post. The move could have immediate implications for the global steel and aluminum trade — Canada is the biggest supplier of imported steel to the U.S.
Uber has rolled out 911 in-app calling in an effort to increase rider safety. The feature will allow users to call emergency services with a tap which gives authorities the vehicle’s location.
