Unemployment hits lowest rate in nearly a century, Walmart gets the upper hand against Amazon, and other news

Unemployment
U.S. unemployment fell to 3.9% — nearly the lowest rate this century and one rarely seen since the 1970s. Economists expected a rate of 4%.
 
Flipkart
Walmart beat Amazon for a majority stake in Flipkart, Bloomberg reports, in a deal worth about $15B. If finalized, the retail giant will secure approximately 75% of the Indian e-commerce site, according to Bloomberg. Reports earlier in the week said Amazon made a $12B bid for 60% of Flipkart.
 
Twitter 
Twitter has urged all of its 336M users to change their passwords. A bug may have exposed passwords in plain text, leaving them vulnerable to hackers — although the glitch hasn’t resulted in a breach, according to the company.
