John McCarthy coined the term, 'artificial intelligence' in 1956.
AI: “the science and engineering of making intelligent
machines”
Artificial Intelligence refers to the ‘intelligence’ of machinery,
when we refer to ‘intelligence’ we are measuring the ability
of the machine has in understanding its environment and
then the corresponding actions it takes.
