Personal Achievements
On three separate occasions store and regional managers have given the opportunity to manage a team in a different store, through periods
of time where the Department Manager had left the company on short notice and long term sickness. These were great experiences to
portray my skills in communication and team building to manage a team for a temporary period of time, through a usually disru ptive
process. Driving sales through colleague morale, effective scheduling and uplifting delivery availability slots.
Taking the place of the Department Manager on two separate occasions, due to holiday commitments, during a meeting between the Store
Manager,Regional Operations Manager,Zonal Operations Manager and Regional Planning Manager. The key objective of the meeting was to
display a 4 week plan of uplift, given the forecast items we then had to display the correct head count of staff to ensure maximum volume of
work in a 3-hour period, ensuring enough drivers cover an increase in shifts and van numbers complying with EU Driving Laws, as well as
sufficient General Assistant labour for vehicle loading and stock marshalling. Confidently presenting the uplift plan, explaining any gaps in
labour forming an action plan for any issues that arose from the meeting and answering on the spot questions, demonstrating an
understanding beyond my role.
