Picture of the book – Our Chapter. Picture of him – who is he? He is investing in the future of psychometrics. Go through them and see whether we agree. 2. Yes – business to consumer. Everybody has an account so that they can log back in. 3. We agree – alpha beta brain and big 5. 4. Scepticism. Facebook has been fined. Purposes not intended. Why Tomas was fired. 5.

There seem to be higher correlations amongst the qualities on each ‘half’ of the Mandala. This seems to reflect the superordinate factors of personality known as alpha and beta proposed by Digman 1997. This suggest that the Big Five can be classified in to two ‘higher order’ factors of personality and that these represent ‘meta-traits’. Alpha refers to a combination of Agreeableness, Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability (often called Neuroticism). Beta is a combination of Extraversion and Openness to Experience. De Young (2002), have also found these meta traits – and refers to them as Stability (Alpha) and Plasticity (Beta). It has been suggested that these two meta-traits may be influenced by differences in biological factors with Stability linked to the rostral serotonergic system, while Plasticity is thought to be linked to the central dopaminergic (DA) system.
