I hold Ph.D. in Forestry from Michigan State University (1992); M.S in Range Management from Colorado State University, USA (1982) and B.Sc Agri. Hons. in Agriculture from Punjab Agri. Univ., India (1976). I currently work as the Executive Director of a new non-profit Co. Centre for Green Economy Development, Nepal (CGED-Nepal) (www.cgednepal.org). I am also advise to: IDS-Nepal (www.idsnepal.org); SIAS (www.sias-southasia.org); and ABARI (www.inbar.org). I serve as the Deputy Chair of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management (IUCN/CEM).
