Development of a Slenium and Java based Multi-Browser Test Automation Framework:
Description: Developed an automation framework to automate the multi-browser test suite for a major North
American banking client using Selenium. Multi-browser testing is performed on the web based customer portal
application of the Bank. The automation framework needed to be a hybrid one and very robust with low
maintenance cost. Eclipse IDE was used along with Core Java language to develop the framework. TestNG API
was chosen as the backbone of this framework. Testing configuration (such as setting environment parameters,
selection of scenarios and test cases for execution) was designed to be XML driven. Apache-POI API was used
to parameterize the scripts through excel spread sheets containing the test data. Test results were reported
through HTML files. The main challenge of this project was designing the automation framework based on re-
usable component functions to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum maintenance effort.

Presenting the Proof of Concept of the project to the client.

Creation and maintenance of Automated Regression Testing Scripts using UFT for a Banking application:
Description: Automation scripts were created for the Regression Test Suite to validate the functionality of both
the front-end web application as well as the back-end Core Banking Software using HP Unified Functional Testing
(version 11.52) for a leading North American Banking client. The front-end is a Java based web application
whereas the Core Banking back-end application is based on Unix platform. A hybrid automation framework was
used for this activity with a few major and minor customization.

Tester (version 8.5) for a leading North American Banking client. A keyword driven framework was used for
automation. The main goal of the project was to reduce the regression testing effort and cost by creation of
modular and reusable scripts which requires minimal maintenance. Maintenance of the existing scripts release on
release was also a part of this initiative.
