Male and Female reproductive system slide
1. Male and Female Sexual
Reproductive Systems
Each sex has their own unique reproduction
system. They are different in shape and
structure, but both are specifically designed
to produce, nourish, and transport either
the egg or sperm.
2. Males
• Unlike females, whose sex organs are located entirely
within the pelvis inside the body, males reproductive
organs are both inside and outside the pelvis. Their genitals
include:
• the testicles
• the duct system, which
is made up of the epididymis
and the vas deferens
• the accessory glands, which
include the seminal vesicles
and prostate gland
• the penis
3. Females
• Both the male and female reproductive systems are essential for
reproduction. The female needs a male to fertilize her egg, even
though it is she who carries offspring through pregnancy and
childbirth. Their genitals include:
• Uterus
• Vagina
• Cervix
• Ovum (eggs)
• Ovaries
• Fallopian tubes
4. The use of the reproductive systems
• The human reproductive system is contains
organs that are essential and allows us to
produce offspring for the survival of the
species, passing heredity traits from one
generation to the next.
