2. Marta, Sam and Alice arrived at the restaurant early.
Marta: Good evening, I have a table reserved for three. – I ask the waiter who
was at the entrance.
Waiter: Good evening, welcome. I'll check and tell you where the table is.
Martha: Thank you!
Waiter: Please follow me, I'll walk you
to your table. – He said as he led us
to our table.
Sam: Thank you very much! Could
you bring us the menu?
Waiter: Of course, here you are.
Sam: Thank you.

3. Waiter: Are you ready to order?
Alice: Yes, I'd like lemonade and lasagna, please.
Marta: I would like a grilled fish, and to drink only water, please.
Sam: And I'd like an orange juice and a chicken salad, please.
Waiter: Well, I'll bring you what you ordered right away.

4. While we waited for our food, we chatted about Alice's new job.
Marta: Alice, what is your new job about?
Alice: I teach English through an internet page. Currently many people want to
learn as it is one of the most widely spoken languages ​​in the world, so they need
to learn it to communicate and to work.
Sam: Yes, I initially learned English because it allows me to access up-to-date
and complete information, as well as being able to read texts that are original in
English without using translators that could mistranslate the writing.
Sam was interrupted by the arrival of the waiter.
Waiter: Here is your order.
Alice: Thanks!

Marta: It smells very good!
Sam: I'm so hungry, but the food is hot.
Alice: Wait for it to cool down a bit before eating.
Marta: The fish is delicious! How are your dishes?
Alice: I love it, it's delicious!
Sam: The chicken is excellent!
After eating we resume our previous conversation.
Marta: The other day I was reading that knowing
English gives us a great job advantage since in
many jobs they ask us to speak English, especially
in tourism companies or that do business with
foreigners.

Alice: Yes, that is why many want to learn, in addition to the fact that most
businesses internationally use the American currency (dollar), which is why
banks, payment processors and financial entities have their digital platforms in
English.
Waiter: Have you decided on dessert?
Alice: Yes, I want an ice cream.
Marta: I want a chocolate cake.
Sam: Bring me an apple pie, please.
Waiter: Sure, I'll bring your order right away.
After a while the waiter returns with our desserts.
Alice: Thanks!
Marta: Everything looks very delicious!

After eating dessert we called the waiter to give
us the bill.
Sam: Excuse me.
