It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Maria Calix. From the day I
interviewed Maria it was clear to me that she would be a great fit for our Summer Finance
Internship Program. Maria brought to the team a very positive attitude that facilitated working on
all group projects. Not only did she build a lasting relationship with her fellow interns, she also
established a mentorship with all her supervisors. That said, Maria succeeded in meeting my
expectations because of her ability to clearly express her questions or concerns.
One of Maria's strongest qualities is her earnest desire to learn. Though the adjustment from
theory to practice is not a simple one, Maria applied herself and sought the help needed to fulfill
the tasks that were required of her. One of the most excellent examples of this was when she
created a comprehensive document that could help her track expense allocations by
departments. The most impressive part of this accomplishment was that the document would
serve as a benchmark for future reference even after her internship ended. Needless to say,
Maria demonstrated in all of her tasks that she was a problem solver.
