Marialis Simoni
I have known Marialis Simoni since September 2014, when he enrolled at King’s
College London and took the first-year lecture course that I teach, Physics Skills.
Marialis attended the 1st
year Physics Skills course regularly over one semester. The
Physics Skills course was assessed by two assignments (experimental work and a
podcast) and a written examination. The course demands analytical and quantitative
competence, communication and presentation skills, as well as note-taking, teamwork
and time-management abilities. Marialis obtained an overall first class mark of 79% for
the Physics Skills course.
Marialis obtained an average of 82.8% in his first year, coming 7th
in his year of more
than 122 students. He is thus on course for a first class honours degree.
Marialis is a highly motivated student, who is a quick learner and has demonstrated a
good grasp of novel and innovative ideas. I have found him to be friendly, mature,
reliable and responsible throughout all my dealings with him, and his friendly
personality makes it easy and pleasant to work with him. Marialis is also well liked by
his peers, and he has always shown enthusiasm and dedication to the work he has
been involved in.
I have no hesitation in supporting Marialis’ application.
If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to let me know.
Yours faithfully
Klaus Suhling
