1. How to Win the Game of 6th Grade
Summary of the game
The Game of 6th Grade (g6g) shall not exceed 180 school days. At the end of 180
school days, all points will be calculated for final grades and the determination of
passage into the next level, The Game of 7th Grade (g7g). The stakes are high in the
g6g and shall not be taken lightly by any player. In fact, the game is so serious that
some consider that a year in 6th grade is not a game at all. All players shall be
respectful of this fact.
All of the Player Characters and the Game Master shall work as a team. The team works
together to achieve the goal of the game and win. If any one Player Character looses,
the entire team shall feel despair. It is the responsibility of each player character to lift
and support each team mate so that the entire team can achieve success in the end.
Terms for the Game of 6th Grade:
Game Master (GM) is Mrs. Hebern.
The GM shall have the final say in all disputes, shall enforce rules, and guide students
in their learning. The GM will plan activities for students and shall assist the students in
their learning of the curriculum.
The Player Character is the student.
Each student will be a Player Character
(PC). You shall be known by your birth
name. The responsibility of each PC is to
learn as much as you can through the
course of 180 school days so that you shall
be promoted to the Game of 7th Grade

splashed. The PC shall consider this impact, apologies, and stop as soon as he/she is
aware that others are being affected.
4. Set up and structure of the game
PCs will most likely not be using traditional textbooks
(TB) in class. You will access materials through your
Chromebook (CB). TBs will be used to supplement as
needed in the courses.
Example 1: In science, you will construct a science
notebook per the teacher’s instructions that will act as
your TB. Lab notebooks must stay in the classroom
unless otherwise noted by the teacher.
Example 2: In Social Studies, PCs will access a web site to
learn information about ancient Rome and will construct a
presentation to share with the other PC players.
