  5. Language is considered one of the elements of culture. It is the system of words or signs that a particular group of people uses to express thoughts and feelings with each other; hence, if you do not belong to the same group or culture you do not speak the same language. Language is the primary tool used in the communication process. This connotes sharing one's thoughts, emotions, and knowledge with others using a certain code (culture) and symbols (language) that must be learned and shared between communicators.
