2. Introduction
• Cybersecurity student Mason Bird took several advanced placement
courses while in high school and earned membership to the
National Honor Society while balancing non-academic
responsibilities. An avid sports fan, Mason Bird follows the Golden
State Warriors of the National Basketball Association.
Committed to giving back to its community, the Golden State
Warriors organization maintains several programs and initiatives
impacting underserved individuals in the San Francisco Bay area.
Through the Warriors Community Foundation, the team helps
youth in the area by funding community grants and creating
partnerships with local nonprofits. The Warriors Community
Foundation was established in 2012 in the hopes of expanding the
team’s impact in the community.

3. Golden State Warriors Community
Foundation
• The Foundation currently maintains three signature
programs. Its Community Grants program provides
financial support to development and educational
programs for underserved children in San Francisco,
while the Makin’ Hoops program refurbishes local
basketball courts. The third program, Share Your
Seats, donates thousands of game tickets to schools
and nonprofits. The Warriors Community
Foundation accepts donations by mail and through a
program that raises funds by offering tailored
scoreboard messages for home games.
