• Tearing Force: Tearing force is the avg. force required to continue tear
previously started in a fabric.
• Tearing resistance: Tearing resistance is one of the important
properties of a textile fabric. The tear strength of a fabric force indicates its
resistance to tearing.

Cut the specimen 100mm/75mm
At the middle point of the specimen a 20 mm slit
is cut
Distance between end of the slit to opposite edge
is 43mm.pendulum lever mechanism is used.
