SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT GOALS
SDGS ONU AGENDA
2030
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve
a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the
global challenges we face. In Cadica we answer the ONU call
every day. We will guide you through all of them by showing that
it is possible to run a sustainable company.
•We collaborate with national and international
fashion schools. Students from any Nation
can be interns or write their dissertation with
us.
•We also share our case histories with them
during master and university courses.
Cadica is active with the main fashion
schools with scholarships thanks to the
PERICOLO Creativo project: Marangoni, I-
skool by ISKO,
Polimoda, Polidesign, Politecnico Milano.
•We provide free nursery to Cadica mums
and dads.
•Employ more than two hundred
collaborators around the world and
manage partnerships with workers from
many disadvantaged areas.
•Collected stationery items for
African schools.
•Gifted handmade puppets made by
Mexican poor artisans as our fairs and
exhibitions’ gadgets.
•Ethically produce some of our
products in the Far East.
•We always contact local producers and
groceries for our special meetings, events,
and promotional gifts.
•Donated money to associations looking for
cures against cancer and leukemia.
4
•Collaborated with associations supporting the
Italian population of Emilia-Romagna and
Abruzzo after earthquakes.
•Provide sanitary insurance to our employees
and provide regularly medical visits for their
health.
•Introduced Cadica Care during Covid-19 times
(smart working, social distancing, workplace
disinfection, and all other anti-covid norms).
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
GOALS
ZERO HUNGER
We always contact local producers
and groceries for our special
meetin- gs, events, and promotional
gifts.
ZERO HUNGER
We always contact local producers
and groceries for our special
meetin- gs, events, and promotional
gifts.
•Our Ethical Collection contains products
made of low-water-consuming materials
and uses innovative production
techniques to lower water wastage even
more.
•We use recycled and biodegradable
materials in our corporate kit: maximum
reduction of single-use plastic with
paper replacement.
•Dignity and comfortable workplaces are our
constant research dedicated to our
employees.
•Flexible working hours to support family
needs and additional facilities for a better
wellness.
•Less energy also means less emissions: we
always choose factories that are
geographically closer to the required customer
delivery location in order to minimize
transportation impacts in terms of CO2
emissions.
5
•Last but not least, our Ethical Collection re-
duces energy waste by using materials coming
from renewable or biological sources, with
redu- ced chemical impact, recycled and/or
biodegra- dable.
•Cadica offers equal opportunities and
remuneration to its employees regardless
of gender, sexual orientation and
nationality.
ZERO HUNGER
We always contact local producers
and groceries for our special
meetin- gs, events, and promotional
gifts.
•To reduce inequalities within and among
countries, we periodically audit the
working conditions of our collaborators
and em- ployees in each one of our
branches.
•We love to share the ideas that generate
from different cultures and traditions and
we are proud of our company’s melting pot.
•Most of our employees are women. They
work at all hierarchical levels.
•Our Ethical Choice collection fully achieves
this goal. From concept to the recycle-reuse-
reduce mantra, to the choice of collaborators
and our certifications. We got an office entirely
dedicated to sustainability options.
•We love being and acting green: we sort
waste, bike to come to work, use cars the less
we can.
6
•We continuously invest in R&D to find
sustainable solutions. Our collaborators
work with innovative machines and futuristic
techniques to produce new materials.
•All our collections are developed in a
sustainable perspective, with corporate
certifica- tions such as ISO 9001, REACH,
Oekotex, FSC, GOTS, GRS, BCI, BSCI.
•Since years all
Cadica buildings
fully replaced their
lighting system with
LED lights, saving
at least 50% of our
energy
consumption.
In 2019 all offices
are equipped with
an automatic light
switch-off.
Our R&D is always busy finding ways
to reduce pollution and waste. We are
working to remove the plastic that is
already lying around in landfills and
our oceans by giving them a second
life through our recycled polyester
bags initiative.
•STONE PAPER > CO2 release is
67% less than the standard paper
production
•ORGANIC COTTON > reduces
water consumption by 91%
•R-PET > made with recycled
plastic bottles
•OXO Bio and PLA >
biodegradable material
•We support Tree
Nation and grow a
Cadica forest:
2019 – Communi/Tree,
Nicaragua: 403 trees
planted, 8463 Kg of
CO2 replaced.
2020 – Trees for Tigers,
India: 100 trees
planted, 15000 Kg
of CO2 replaced.
2020 – Daintree life re-
vegetation, Australia: 20
trees planted, 3000 Kg
di CO2 replaced.
•To promote
inclusive societies
and provide access to
a good career in

BEGINNINGS
THE ETHICAL CHOICE BY
CADICA
To give life to our The Ethical Choice project we would like to share with you
that Cadica has done some small changes in its company rules, that will
make a little but important difference in terms of sustainability.

aim to reduce the use of plastic and
allow recycling. With this philosophy
we have replaced every corporate
items with solutions that are
recyclable, biodegradable, organic or
zero waste.
Our shipping envelopes
are in bioplastic.

ITEMS
Cadica will promote all activities that
aim to reduce the use of plastic and
allow recycling.
With this philosophy we have replaced
every corporate items with solutions
that are recyclable,
biodegradable, organic or zero waste.
• Recycled paper and FSC for
sheets, business cards, paper
documents.
• At the shows and events the
water bottles will be in cardboard
bricks.
• Recycled and compostable lunch kits
for
our employees and
guests (placemats, napkins,
plates, cups).
• We chose only natural Inks for our
printed documents, they are water o
soy
based.
The supports of our products are
FSC certified. Thanks to this
certificate, obtained on all our offices
in Italy, HK, India and Turkey, we are
able to offer paper products that
meet all the strict FSC criteria in
terms of traceability and
sustainability.

COLLABORATIO
NS
Cadica believes in ethical and
innovative collaborations with green
startups and fashion schools.
For each collected Euro for one of our
gadgets we will support a reforestation
project planting new trees, this is possible
thanks to internatio- nal initiatives on Tree-
Nation.

Thanks to the collaboration with Magoga Bags,
Cadica supports processes of recovery and recycling
dedicated to the sea, but at the same time we valorise
craftsman- ship and creativity of sustainable
producers. Each enve- lope is made and sewn by
hand with different colorful materials such as dacron,
kevlar, nylon, carbon, which come from sails, kitsurf
and technical accessories.

The packaging envelope containing the
pages of The Ethical Choice is an
handmade crea- tion Made In Venezia, a
unique piece of design that comes from an
ecological philosophy of recycling of
disused nautical sails.

DO YOU KNOW
THAT...?
•We have a new water dispenser connected
directly to the purified water. We can use all
this free and precious service (but without
waste or excess of use), so we eliminate
the consumption of plastic bottles and
paper cup using personal water bottles.
•We will maintain water bottles in the machi-
nes, that will have lightly cost increase due
to right ethical reasons:
The bottles are made with 50% recycled
plastic and are 100% recyclable each
bottle of WAMI water in fact contributes to
water projects in poor villages. When a
community receives water, everything
changes: health
conditions, food availability, education and
the local economy. WAMI is constantly trying
to minimize the impact of bottling and
distribu- tion and they plant trees in Italy

Do you know that in our
collection proposals there are products
with an- tibacterial properties? These
articles have been tested in
laboratory and even after the wash,
they have demonstra- ted to maintain
thWeir characteristics: thanks to the
particular treatment, they are able to
guarantee an excellent anti- bacterial
quality to the garment or ac- cessory
that your product needs.
We can offer you special treatments for
labels, envelopes, and pochette
comple- mentary to the antibacterial
grade that
your product
needs. Cadica continues to study
about this research collaborating
with
the Politecnico of Milano, to offer you
an increasingly innovative
product.

In our collection we find ecological pro-
posals that do not give up creativity. All
articles have a short description and
some of them have also QR codes that
link to video with more information on
their production and origin. The
symbols at the bottom of the pages
explain the category of each products:
Recycling, Re-use, Use of natural and
organic raw materials, Biodegradable.

The certification concerns both
real leather and recycled leather
items and it assures the limited use
of some toxic element as: Chrome,
Lead, Cadmium.
