- 3. Definitions Patron-Driven Acquisition (PDA) Acquisition of library materials based on direct or indirect patron input, including faculty requests and analysis of collection usage Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) Acquisition of library materials based on patron selection at the point of need.
