As you may know, I am embarking on another fundraiser for charity this year to support research into Brain Tumours in Children. It is the biggest cancer killer in children. The Brain Tumour Trust has been set up to fund research and to help sufferers and their families. Please help me to raise a ton of money for the Brain Tumour Trust. I have Corporate Sponsorship packages including branding the sledge, product placement at the south pole etc (imagine your logo and “with you to the ends of the earth” at the South Pole ) with all funds going to the charity directly. 3. IN JANUARY 2020 I WILL BE TREKKING ALONGSIDE POLAR
EXPLORER ALAN CHAMBERS MBE AND FORMER ENGLAND
RUGBY CAPTAIN LEWIS MOODY ACROSS THE ANTARCTIC
PLATEAU TO THE SOUTH POLE TO RAISE VITAL FUNDS TO
TACKLE BRAIN TUMOURS IN CHILDREN.
THIS INCREDIBLE JOURNEY INVOLVES A LONG AND
STRENUOUS 111 KM TREK ACROSS ONE OF THE MOST
INHOSPITABLE REGIONS ON THE PLANET, TO REACH THE
MOST SOUTHERLY POINT ON EARTH.
THIS WILL BE AN EXPEDITION IN THE MOST REMOTE PART OF
ANTARCTICA, WHERE PHYSIOLOGICAL ALTITUDE WILL BE
CLOSE TO 10,000 FEET (3350M) FOR MANY DAYS IN A ROW, IN
PERMANENT DAYLIGHT WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW –40°F /
–40°C, AND SEVERE WIND CHILL AND STORMS.
The Challenge
BRAIN TUMOURS ARE THE BIGGEST CANCER KILLER OF
CHILDREN AND ADULTS UNDER 40. 10 CHILDREN AND
TEENAGERS ARE DIAGNOSED WITH A BRAIN TUMOUR EVERY
WEEK IN THE UK YET LESS THAN 2% OF CANCER RESEARCH
FUNDING IN THE UK IS SPENT ON BRAIN TUMOURS.
THE MONEY I RAISE WILL SUPPORT TWO PIONEERING PROJECTS:
THE TESSA-JOWELL BRAIN-MATRIX - A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND
CLINICAL TRIAL THAT WILL ENABLE DOCTORS TO TREAT BRAIN
TUMOURS WITH DRUGS THAT ARE MORE TARGETED THAN EVER
BEFORE.

NETWORK, A FREE GLOBAL WEB APP ENABLING BRAIN TUMOUR
PATIENTS TO MAKE BETTER-INFORMED DECISIONS AND
