About Us
Our Managing Director Mike Day, has extensive international experience and has formulated strategies for
growth in businesses both large and small. Having started up three businesses, Mike understands the pressures
you are under. He has a strong background in change management, rapidly analysing the situation and working
with clients to deliver tangible results. Mike has delivered business turnarounds and growth not only because he
can focus on the priorities, but because he understands this must be done in a way that delivers sustainable
change. Mike has worked all of his career in technical solutions and manufacturing businesses, this means he
enjoys working with complex detail, which his scientific background has given him the foundation to under-
stand. Mike’s background includes Utilities, Waste Management, Logistics, R&D, Mechanical-electrical compo-
nents and Systems, Polymers, Scientific Testing and Consultancy, and Forensic Science, he is highly adaptable
and with his network can deliver in many different circumstances.
Case Studies
Cryogenics design, manufacturing and installation company
We developed and delivered a plan to reorganise the sales team pricing structure and promotional activity to
deliver growth to a SME that manufactures and delivers specialist engineered solutions and products to a wide
range of technically demanding markets. In addition reviewed the project delivery function to identify process
weaknesses and enable improvements to efficiency and effectiveness. The plan was implemented and delivered
significant revenue and profitability uplifts.
Expansion strategy
Carried out a market review of potential acquisitions in order to expand the Scientific Services division of an
organisation. Using our market knowledge and network we helped the client profile the best targets, including
capabilities, strategic fit, avenues of approach and likelihood of success. The report was accepted as ‘invaluable’
to guide the company’s expansion.
Strategic Planning
We devised a strategic and operational plan for a Sales Training company for a revolutionary set of sales training
and performance management software products. In addition we devised a 3 year P&L business model, capital
investment and cash requirements in order to raise potential investment.
