REALTECH/SUSE: Westinghouse Case Study
Project: Migration of ALL SAP applications portfolio from IBM AIX to SUSE Linux
on Intel
Three steps 18 months project to migrate all ERP, PI and GTS landscapes (minimum
three instances for each landscape), over 20 Terabytes of migrated data.
Goal: to gain processing power cutting the actual cost, deploy a virtualized infrastructure
to simplify Disaster Recovery and implement SUSE Cluster Solution to provide High
Availability.
Westinghouse was particularly sensible to service interruptions and challenged the
combined teams to perform migrations in a very short time window.
Results: SUSE and Realtech exceeded customer’s expectations in terms of quality,
speed, accuracy and cost.

REALTECH/SUSE: MGM Case Study
Project: Migration of two complete SAP ERP landscapes from HP-UX to SUSE
Linux, Unicode conversion and Upgrade to Release 6 EHP7 (7 total instances).
Goal: was to gain processing power cutting the actual cost, dismiss the existing aged
hardware, perform a Unicode conversion and to upgrade the application to the latest
version.
MGM wanted a single go-live combining three different activities challenging Realtech to
provide an extended set of advanced skills.
Results: SUSE and Realtech exceeded customer’s expectations in terms of quality,
speed, accuracy and in line with cost.
