The Latest JNLR Results: the Facts and the
Thoughts by Conor White
Radio holds its listeners, 2FM continues to weaken, Today FM take
silver medal and Newstalk get it right in the morning!
The latest JNLR has shown some definitive shifts in the radio market
over the last few months. While Radio1 continues to hold and grow
audience throughout the week, it has seen strong decline across all
major weekend shows – which is inevitable as the survey was
conducted throughout the heat wave in April. While RTE’s Radio 1
juggernaut continues on, the same cannot be said for 2FM.
The station has been in turmoil since the death of Gerry Ryan and while RTE have said that this was the book that would give a
realistic look at the figures for their new schedule it has not been a strong showing.

continues to stick by Will Leahy. Clearly the show and presenter are not working The Serious Business of Happiness
