Language Arts Class
Language Arts is the area in which students
learn the range of skills needed to become
proficient in using the English language.
Language Arts is for elementary and
secondary grades.
the different components of Language Arts
are:
• Spelling
• Speaking
• Vocabulary
• Word study (or phonics)
• Reading (or literature)
• Writing
• Grammar

Objectives
• Students will engage in daily, meaningful reading tasks in English class and/or at
home and in formal and informal writing assignments using the entire writing
process.
• Students will be able to respond orally to written works, grounding their ideas in a
conversation, to ask and answer questions logically and effectively and to
participate actively and effectively in cooperative groups using the correct
pronunciation.

• Students will be able to distinguish the different grammar tenses to use them
correctly in verbal and written language.
• Students will be able to respond in discussions and in writing to a news report
in the electronic or print media.
• Student will be able to interact positively practicing honesty, respect, gratitude,
persistence, kindness, creating thinking and initiative to learn.
