The 1989 short film Balance is a stop-motion animated film directed by German twin brothers Wolfgang and Christoph Lowenstein. It depicts five individuals standing on a small floating platform in space, each with their backs to one another, suggesting they are not speaking. One individual disrupts the balance by pulling a music box onto the platform, causing the characters to battle over the box out of greed and selfishness. In the end, one lone character must balance themselves on the platform with the box, which remains out of reach.
