  2. 2. Abstract  It is being developed for customers so they can book their vehicles from any part of the world. This application takes information from the customers through filling their details.  A customer being registered has the facility to book the vehicle which he requires.  It is also being developed for the person who wants to rent their car on our application.
  3. 3. Introduction ▶ Motorized vehicle owners cannot use their vehicles continuously all the time. This can be caused by several factors such as traffic jams that make owners lazy to use private vehicles and prefer to use public transportation or online transportation, especially in the crowded and always congested city. ▶ In addition, according to motor vehicles that are rarely used can cause various problems, such as car batteries or motorcycles that will lose energy so the car or motorcycle cannot be started and in the end the car or motorcycle battery must be filled returned or replaced with a new one. ▶ The solution to these problems is to create a mobile application that is used to rent vehicles that are not being used. This application is able to make private vehicles more useful and at the same time provide additional income for vehicle owners.
  4. 4. Problem Statement ▶ The Manual car rentalApplication provides services only during office hours. So; customers have limited time to make any transactions or reservation of the cars. ▶ Besides that, there are some customers who faced a problem in choosing car to be rented which suitable with some of the important requirements. ▶ 1. To rent a car a prospective renter must first go to the nearest office to register as a client. ▶ 2. Cars that provide difficulties to rent out are normally advertised in local or national newspaper.it involves a lot of paper work and consumes time.
  5. 5. Aim  To produce a web-based application that allow customer to register and reserve car online and for the company to effectively manage car rental business.  To ease customer’s task whenever they need to rent a car.
  6. 6. Objectives  This project is designed to aid the car rental company to enable renting of cars through an online system and also to the person who wants to rent their car.  It helps the users to search for available cars view profile and book the cars for the time period. It has a user-friendly interface which helps the user to check for cars and rent them for the period specified.  They could also make payment online.  The use of internet technology has made it easy for the customers to rent a car any time. This system makes the bookings easy. It saves time and labor.  It helps the person to first verify their documents and then enter their car details and give their car for a rent through this application.

  8. 8. Front end and Back end ▶ The front end languages we are using are java ▶ Backend – Firebase ▶ Platform – Android studio

Basic idea about project  A car rental is a vehicle that can be used temporarily for a period of time with a fee.  Renting a car assists people to get around even when they do not have access to their own personal vehicle or don’t own a vehicle at all.  The individual who wants to rent a car must first contact the car rental company for the desired vehicle. This can be done online.  At this point the person has to share the information such as dates of rental and types of car. After this details are workout, the individual renting a car must present a identification card.  Most companies throughout the industry make a profit based of the types of car that are rented. The rented cars are categorized into economy, compact, compact premium and luxury.  Customers are free to choose any of their choice based cars on their pursue and availability of such car at the time of reservation.

  11. 11. Expected outcome ▶ It is expected to be well managing car booking app. ▶ There should not Have any errors occur on the financial part and it can generate report on its simplest form For administrative purpose.

  13. 13. Estimated cost ▶ There is no cost in making this app.

CONCLUSIONs  Based on observations, some small companies already have a car rental system which is not a web based application.  This is a limitation that gives them capability to store customer’s details, but at the same time they cannot make their services more available to the public through the internet, they rather make use of posters to advertise their services to the public.  These types of companies can overcome these problems by switching to the web base application of their type of system.
